OREANDA-NEWS. On 23 June 2009 was announced, that at the Paris Le Bourget Air Show Mr. Dmytro Kiva, General Designer of ANTONOV ASTC (Ukraine) and Mr. Mick Milne, Marketing and Business Development Director of MARSHALL AEROSPACE (England) signed a ‘Teaming Agreement’.

Under this agreement the parties will combine their respective and complimentary skills, capabilities and expertise, initially in the field of ANTONOV Aircraft modifications to meet customer requirements.

The initial joint project will address the provision of an in-flight refuelling capability for AN-74 aircraft.

In addition, the Companies will interact in the organisation of maintenance and integrated operational support of ANTONOV aircraft.

Marshall Aerospace celebrates its 80th year in aviation in 2009. The Company, headquartered at its own airport facility in Cambridge, England specialises in design, manufacture, conversion and maintenance support of Military, Civil and Corporate aircraft.

Current projects include major design and manufacture tasks for Boeing, Airbus, Honda Jet and Embraer. On the maintenance front Marshall Aerospace is Prime Contractor to the UK MoD for through life support of the RAF Hercules fleet and supports a number of other operators.

The characteristic advantages of ANTONOV aircraft include structural reliability and economic efficiency, flexibility of transport operations, ability to use unpaved airfields and easy maintenance. Nowadays the ANTONOV Complex continues to be engaged in designing and building new aircraft prototypes as well as modifications of earlier designs, the provision of operational and product support and engineering work on extending the service life of existing aircraft. It also provides services such as basic and conversion training for flight and maintenance crews and international air charter transportation, particularly of outsize cargoes. On-site training of local personnel is available to ensure their mastery of their chosen aircraft. Antonov also participates in international cooperation in the field of aircraft and equipment design and manufacture.
