OREANDA-NEWS. June 22, 2009. The First Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Olexandr Turchynov informed journalists that during a sitting of conciliation council of the Parliament he addressed the leaders of factions concerning a need to approve changes to the Budget Code already tomorrow. 

Olexandr Turchynov was surprised considering of this issue is delayed, “as these changes are destined to provide financial independence for the local self-government bodies”. According to him, after changes to the Budget Code are adopted, “we will have chance to immediately submit lines of budget policy for the following year”.

The First Vice Premier noted principal for the Government in forming lines of the budget policy the following year appears: “entertaining propositions of not only central authorities and regional structures, but also rural ones”. According to Olexandr Turchynov, “it is a new approach from the times of existence of independent Ukraine”.
