CIS Bank Conference to Be Held in Chisinau
OREANDA-NEWS. June 22, 2009. The International bank conference, which will be opened on Saturday in Chisinau, will be dedicated to the increase of foreign currency in export-import operations of the Commonwealth of Independent States, reported the press-centre of IBA.
According to the Organizing Committee of the conference, representatives of CIS Governments and financial organs, Chairman of the Executive Committee, CIS Executive Secretary Serghei Lebedev, as well as Heads of CIS Central and commercial banks will participate in this conference. These are the Eurasia Development Bank, the VTB and the Vnesheconombank (Russia), the State Savings Bank of Ukraine, the Belarusbank, the International Bank of Azerbaijan, the Agroinvestbank of Tajikistan, as well as the National Bank of Moldova (NBM) and Moldovan leading commercial banks.
It is planned to discuss the problem of retail transfers and payments, as well as the formation of a joint payment space alongside with the issue, relating to the increase of the national currencies’ role in trade operations between CIS countries at a plenary sitting and in the course of roundtables.
The conference is the second important CIS events, which are held this week in Moldova, which presided in the CIS in 2009.
