OREANDA-NEWS. June 22, 2009. In May 2009, the amount of transactions in the off-exchange segment of the securities market reduced by 12.24 million leis (36.11 per cent) in comparison with April 2009 and rose by 0.66 million leis in comparison with May 2008.

According to the National Financial Market Commission’s data, 790 transactions in the amount of 21.64 million leis were registered in the off-exchange segment in May 2009. The largest share in the off-exchange transactions structure in the reporting period belonged to transactions of redemption of shares as a result of the issuers’ reorganization – 53.97 per cent of the total number of transactions or 11.68 million leis.

The transactions of contribution to the authorized capital made up 29.11 per cent of 6.3 million leis, gift transactions – 1.98 million leis or 9.15 per cent, inheritance transactions – 0.69 million leis or 3.19 per cent, purchase and sale transactions – 0.46 million leis or 2.13 per cent.
