OREANDA-NEWS. Continuing a cycle of events to mark its 20th birthday, Ukio bankas invites Kaunas residents and guests to celebrate the Midsummer Day together on 23 June, reported the press-centre of Ukio bankas.

Participants of this festival will enjoy rituals of Rasos (Dew Holiday), a greeting to all persons named John and Jane, songs and dances as well as an impressive bonfire at the park on the confluence of the rivers Nemunas and Neris. Apart from that, the event guests will be invited to search for the magic fern blossom together with presents from Ukio bankas, to sail on the Nemunas river and enjoy other events of this festival of the year’s shortest night.

The event will be held on the quay by restaurant Combo (address: Raudondvario pl. 107) but everyone in the Nemunas and Neris confluence park or sitting on both banks of the Nemunas will also be able to hear and see it.

The event starts at 20:30.

The organizers recommend that the event guests bring along wreaths woven of forest flowers and grasses.
