OREANDA-NEWS. On June 19, 2009 Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko has commissioned heat communal (teplocomunenerho) enterprises to open clearing accounts in Oshchadbank within a week in order to ensure payments for gas to Naftogaz of Ukraine.

A respective commission was formed by Yulia Tymoshenko during a meeting with heads of regional state administrations, city mayors and heads of heat communal enterprises dedicated to issues of paying off a debt to Naftogaz of Ukraine NJSC.

Yulia Tymoshenko reminded opening of the clearing accounts of teplocomunenerho in Oshchadbank is envisaged under a Governmental Resolution: “It has been agreed that we use exceptionally clearing accounts and there can not be other accounts where the funds will circulate”.

The Premier added for now payments for the consumed gas by the citizens amounts 85% while Naftogaz of Ukraine receives only 30% from heat communal enterprises. As the Head of Government put it, opening of such clearing accounts will enable to effectively control movement of funds.

Thereupon, Yulia Tymoshenko noted in case the Government’s Resolution isn’t implemented compulsory measures will be applied to teplocomunenerho enterprises: “If the following month any of the funds are transferred not on clearing accounts of heat communal enterprises, all these resources will be charged off by the tax administration. We will achieve understanding with the NBU, members of the Government to charge these funds immediately, to the day”.
