OREANDA-NEWS. June 22, 2009. The Government will initiate approving of a draft law which has to contain a new approach to determining tariffs for heating, hot water, water supply systems etc.

The Premier of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko informed during a meeting dedicated to issues of paying off a debt to Naftogaz of Ukraine by teplocomunenerho enterprises. Yulia Tymoshenko promised the Gov’t would suggest all the tariffs to be determined in a centralized way, but not by local councils.

“In the end of first quarter of 2010 we will be able to apply all the laws envisaging that determining the tariffs will be carried out in a centralized way, on the basis of calculations,” the Head of Government underlined. According to her, the tariffs will be calculated by the NERC or another specially created for these purposes structure. “As the present situation with the tariffs is unaffordable,” Yulia Tymoshenko urged.
