OREANDA-NEWS. On 19 June 2009 was announced, that the Board of Oranta National Joint-Stock Insurance Company decided to make a reinsurance benefit payment in connection with the accident that happened to the motor vessel Saratoga. The vessel transported cargo (cast iron). When the motor vessel was in the Kerch Strait, its main engine failed. The motor vessel was insured under the voluntary water transport insurance contract by one of Ukrainian insurance companies and reinsured by Oranta.

The reinsurance benefit paid by Oranta under the incoming reinsurance contract amounted to UAH 776 962.
