OREANDA-NEWS. 11th session of the Headquarters for Joint investigations of Antimonopoly Violations in CIS was held on 16-17 June 2009 in Bishkek (the Kyrgyz Republic), reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.

The venue was attended by representatives of the antimonopoly authorities of the CIS member-states and members of the Interstate Council for Antimonopoly Policy (MSAP).

They discussed several issues related to high-priority fields of antimonopoly investigations (on the markets of air transportation, telecommunications, grain and fuel-and-lubrication materials in CIS) as well as improvement of cartel investigations.

The session approved the draft Memorandum on Cooperation between the Interstate Council for Antimonopoly Policy and the Interstate Aviation Committee, prepared under the framework of executing the Action Plan for implementing the measures specified in the report "On the State of Competition on the Air Transportation Markets in the CIS Member-States".

The participants heard reports on the current investigations on the air passenger transportation market, the findings of the analysis of the international telephone communications market in the CIS member-states, and intermediary findings of the research of the national grain markets.

XXIX session of MSAP will be held on 18-19 June 2009 to discuss the issues of major interest for the antimonopoly authorities of CIS member-states.
