OREANDA-NEWS. June 18, 2009.  Russia will take part in the construction of the 3rd and 4th units of Tianwan Nuclear Power Plant and China’s commercial fast-breeder reactor, says the Russian-Chinese joint statement adopted as a result of the last meeting of President of Russia Dmitry Medvedev and President of China Hu Jintao.

The statement says that, considering the further development of cooperation in the field of peaceful use of nuclear energy as one of the priorities of Russian-Chinese economic relations and expressing satisfaction with the achievements made in this field, the parties state that they are going to start building the 3rd and 4th units of Tianwan NPP and a commercial fast-breeder reactor.
