OREANDA-NEWS. June 18, 2009.  The Russian Nuclear Insurance Pool and Energoatom Concern OJSC have signed a contract for co-insurance of the Concern’s civil liability. The civil liability of the Concern is insured against nuclear damage caused to third persons as a result of a nuclear accident.

The total amount of the contract is 4.250bln RUR. The co-insurers are 19 Russian insurance companies – members of the Russian Nuclear Insurance Pool. The Concern operates 10 nuclear power plants with 31 reactors. The period of the contract is 1 year.
