OREANDA-NEWS. June 18, 2009.  Alexander Milakhin and Vadim Shambazov, chief and senior underwriters of OJSC Transsiberian Reinsurance Corporation, participated in non-marine underwriting and reinsurance seminar, which took place in Istanbul Underwriting Center (Turkey) with the cooperation of Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) and Milli Re Reinsurance Company (Turkey).

Transsiberian Re underwriters attended reinsurance course, which was run by Peter C. Cave from Chartered Insurance Institute (London), who is one of the most experienced and the most competent lecturers in this sphere and author of many reinsurance manuals. Suffice it to say, that P. Cave started his activities in reinsurance in 1960.

After reinsurance seminar was finished, Alexander Milakhin and Vadim Shambazov received corresponding certificates. Transsiberian Re underwriters were the only representatives not only from Russia, but also from countries of the former Soviet Union.

Transsiberian Re pays much attention to the professional development of all the specialists. Thus, last year, Andrey Chibikov, senior underwriter of European Bureau branch of OJSC Transsiberian Re participated in Munich Re seminar dedicated to the peculiarities of EAR insurance, and Alexander Milakhin attended special seminar of Aon Re Global Reinsurance Broker in London.
