Ukraine to Compensate Losses Caused by Storm to Agricultural Producers
OREANDA-NEWS. On June 18, 2009 The Gov’t has endorsed draft changes to the State Budget of 2009 concerning allocation of funds for liquidation of consequences of the storm which occurred on June 7-13. The Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko informed a press conference.
“We have approved draft changes to the State Budget which envisages allocation of funds to overcome the fallouts of the natural disaster from the Reserve Fund of the Cabinet of Ministers,” the Head of Government emphasized.
Yulia Tymoshenko added Volyn region, which suffered most from the storm, has already received all necessary resources and the Gov’t is maintaining control over the course of works in restoring buildings, social objects, agricultural lands.
Thereupon, the Premier underlined issues of liquidation of storm in other regions, in particular Lviv, Rivne, Ivano-Frankivsk, Zakarpattya where agricultural lands and vineyards suffered most, will be considered during a Government’s session next Wednesday. “Next Wednesday we will consider all the acts and will compensate for the losses agricultural producers suffered in these regions,” Yulia Tymoshenko promised.
