OREANDA-NEWS. June 17, 2009. KAMAZ Inc. presented a new look of its vehicles the production of which will be started in autumn 2009 and held a press conference for mass media at the exhibition Construction Equipment and Technologies’2009.

The exhibited models satisfy all modern requirements and will be the basis of the enterprise’s model range in the near future.

The vehicles were being upgraded during some last years. For these years changes were made in the construction of KAMAZ vehicles, in particular, in all units, aggregates and systems. Modern parts produced by the leading global companies as well as by KAMAZ joint ventures located in Naberezhnye Chelny were used in the construction of the KAMAZ vehicles in order that they might correspond to EURO-3 and EURO-4 regulations. For a long time a cab remained practically unchanged: “the form” didn’t correspond to the changed “content” of the vehicle. Certain structural changes couldn’t solve the problem of fundamental modernization of the cab. Therefore a restyling project was born – changing of the style according to new requirements.

The decision to put the restyled vehicles to the market just now when sales of automotive equipment have significantly dropped is conditioned by a tendency to strengthen leading positions of KAMAZ. The company considers that the renewed model range will increase demand for the enterprise’s production.

At CTT’2009 which was held from 2 till 6 June, 2009 in Moscow, at the International Exhibition Complex “Crocus Expo” KAMAZ Inc. presented the family of restyled vehicles. The company presented 5 upgraded vehicles with new cabs. Specialists engaged in international and interurban line haul liked a KAMAZ-5460 truck tractor. Builders and road workers were not indifferent to a cross-country KAMAZ-65222 dump truck with single wheels designed for transportation of various bulk and construction cargoes on hard-surface roads and under cross-country conditions. The visitors of the exhibition were interested in KAMAZ-6520 and KAMAZ-65115 dump trucks with oval platforms, equipped with a heating exhaust system. The last exhibited model is a unique vehicle KAMAZ-5308, a representative of a new generation of vehicles. Being the basic model of the prospective family of vehicles, KAMAZ-5308 is meant for urban, suburban and interurban transportation of various big loads on public roads.
