OREANDA-NEWS. June 15, 2009. As of late I quarter of 2009, own capital of the saving-loan associations amounted to 104,1 million leis, increasing by 25 million leis (31,6%) as compared to the same period of the same year.

According to the National Commission for Financial Market, as of late March 2009, the share of the net profit in the structure of the own capital made 4.7% vs. 7% at the same period of the previous year.

As of March 31, 2009, total saving deposits attracted from the members, amounted to 64 million leis, 35.4% down over the same period of 2008. The largest share accounts for the saving deposits for 3 months up to 1 year - 90.9%, deposits up to 1 month - 1.9% and deposits from 1 up 3 years-3,1%, respectively.

The rate of funding loans from the attracted saving deposits amounted to 12.2% or 7.8% points down as compared to 2008. As of March 31, 2009, the financial reports were submitted by 395 associations. At the same time, 378 associations have issued loans to their members. In addition, 313 associations have taken bank and external loans, and 107 - have attracted saving deposits. At the same time, from 86 associations, which did not take bank credits and loans, 10 members have attracted saving deposits and 72 association issued loans from their own resources.

The rest 16 associations do not operate. As of March 31, 2009, the number of members of associations have increased from 114,301 up to 123,932 persons or 8.4% and the number of recipients of loans amounted to 57 899 persons, falling by 4,5% as compared with the same period of the last year.

The number of the depositors increased from 6590 up to 6683 persons, increasing by 1.4%. During the reporting period, the average size of loan per member amounted to about 9 456.7 leis, increasing by 10.7% as compared to 2008. In 2009, the average amount of savings per one depositor -member of association has decreased by 36.3%- up to 9,582 leis.

Total assets of associations amounted to 584.6 million leis, increasing by 1.8% over the same period of the last year. The maximum share in the total volume of assets accounts for the granted loans.
