Trelleborg Engineered Systems Lithuania Won Swedish Business Awards
OREANDA-NEWS. June 11, 2009. The Swedish Business Awards 2009 were held in the State Small Theatre of Vilnius in the afternoon on 10th of June. The award for the Fastest growing Swedish company in Lithuania was won by UAB Trelleborg Engineered Systems Lithuania. The winner of the Corporate Social Responsibility award was AVON Cosmetics for the project No Paper Business, which aims to save money on printing paper, to pay attention on environmental problems and at the same time to save environment. This year the winner in the category of the Innovator of the year was not selected.
The event was hosted by the Ambassador of Sweden to Lithuania, Mrs. Ulrika Cronenberg-Mossberg and the Executive Officer of the Swedish Trade Council in the Baltic States, Mr. Mantas Zalatorius. It was attended by more than 200 guests - representatives of Swedish companies and organizations, managers of Swedish owned companies in Lithuania as well as corporate leaders from Lithuania and Sweden.
Swedish-Lithuanian business has been prominent in Lithuania in a very consistent and sustainable way. Swedish investments have always put Sweden among the top three sources of FDI. There are more than 100 active Swedish capital companies in Lithuania. With these awards, the Embassy of Sweden in Lithuania, the Swedish Trade Council, Swedbank and TeliaSonera aims to highlight best practices and encourage foreign investors to establish and develop their business in Lithuania.
