OREANDA-NEWS. On 10 June 2009 was announced, that nine senior managers of SCM Group had been recognized as the best top managers of Ukraine.

In particular, Igor Syry, who is responsible for SCM Group's M&M sector (Metinvest), and Maksim Timchenko, spearheading the Group's energy business (DTEK), shared the first place in the general rating of top managers. Also, Igor Syry and Maksim Timchenko were recognized the best managers in M&M and energy sectors respectively.

Oleg Popov, Chief Executive Officer of SCM, won the rating's special nomination "The Best Company Change Manager" and "The Best Manager-Strategist". Aleksandr Vilkul, Honorary President of Northern and Central Ore Mining and Processing Plants (Metinvest Group), took the first place in the rating of senior managers of mining and processing plants and was listed in Top 10 Managers in Ukraine according to the general rating.

In addition, CEOs of Metinvest Group's three enterprises - Gennady Vlasov (Avdeyevka Coke and Chemicals Plant), Aleksandr Podkorytov (Yenakiyevo Steel Plant) and Dmitriy Livshits (Azovstal Steel Plant) were put on top by the industrial ratings of the leading top managers in metal and coke industries.

SCM Group Board Chairmen - Rafal Juszczak (FUIB) and Vladimir Popovich (Dongorbank) - participated in the industrial rating of best top managers in the national banking sector.
