OREANDA-NEWS. On 11 June Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko informed the Gov’t is to approve a series of decisions to ensure appropriate holding of the final part of European Football Championship of 2012 in Ukraine. She announced at the beginning of today’s session of the Government.

Yulia Tymoshenko noted UEFA recommendations related to preparation of main infrastructure objects in the host-cities of the matches of the Championship will be tackled at the sitting. In particular, according to the Prime Minister, on the outcomes of the discussion they plan to endorse decisions on making changes to the State Target Program of Euro-2012, to approve the project of the National Sport Complex Olimpiysky and also Concept of accommodation of participants of the Championship. 

Besides, Yulia Tymoshenko reminded last year the Parliament, on proposition of the Government, approved a new redaction of the Law of Ukraine “On gearing-up and holding of the final part of European Football Championship of 2012” which is to facilitate improvement of systematization of work. The Head of Government also assured all the programs envisaged by this Law would be provided with necessary resource.

“Preparation to Euro-2012 is being held with success and the Championship in Ukraine will be ensured in full,” the Head of Government promised.
