OREANDA-NEWS  On 08 June was announced, that Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Timoshenko congratulated employees of aviation domain on launch of new passenger aircraft An-148-100 flights.

Dear friends!

On June 2 of 2009 an extremely significant event happened in the life of our country – regular flights of a new regional passenger airliner An-148-100 have launched.

It is the first plane in Ukraine that has been designed with use of computer modeling. The model joins best traditions and acquisitions of Antonov planes in it, such as simplicity, reliability, economy, high level of comfortability for the crew and passengers.

This gorgeous An-148-100 is an example of effective cooperation of national and Russian aircraft constructors. Both Ukraine and Russia have chosen this plane as basis for internal flights and allocated respective funds to purchase them. In close perspective realization of the airliner on international markets can bring billions in profits to both countries.

I deeply grateful to You, dear designers and aircraft constructors, for the perfect work which increases the greatness and fame of the Motherland. It is just owing to your talent and professionalism that Ukraine belongs to “the great seven aviation” countries which deal with design, production and trade in national planes.

I wish from the depth of my heart the number of take-offs of our airliner would equal the number of its landings and also wish to everyone who is involved into this magnificent project – a strong health, well-being, new ideas and great achievements!
