OREANDA-NEWS. June 08, 2009. Ms Nabiullina briefed the President on amendments being drafted to the law on bankruptcy.

Mr Medvedev said that the bankruptcy law needs improving in order to create greater possibilities for taking steps to restore the health of companies that have run into difficulties. The President said that the law’s current provisions in this area are not working, and this is creating extra problems for companies, especially in the crisis situation.

The results of the St Petersburg International Economic Forum were also discussed at the meeting.
