OREANDA-NEWS. June 08, 2009. The construction of one of the biggest projects-stowing plant of OJSC “KMAruda” –has been finished. Start-up work is being carried out now. Commission of this new facility will make the production process of the combine look like a closed cycle: ore mining- iron ore concentrate producing-tailings stowing. Previously tailings were sent to Lebidinskiy GOK tailings dump.

Own stowing plant will allow to retreat 4636 cubic meters of fine pulp per hour, produce 4517 cubic meters of clarified water per hour(which is reused in crushing and cleaning plant technological process) and also dump 340 mt of underflow(tailings) in the exhausted pit stalls. Tests and installation of control and flow-rate instruments, densometres are being made- it’s a very complicated and hard work covering different spheres of the plant production process, which influences the stability of the combine’s production process in general. This new segment of the technological chain must not disturb the mine’s and plant’s progress of work- this is the main goal of stowing plant set-up.
