OREANDA-NEWS. On 05 June 2009 was announced, that the key machine-building exhibition of Russia, MACHINE-BUILDING. MASHEX 2009 came around in the Crocus Expo exhibition centre.  

This year MASHEX is celebrating its anniversary, the first show took place as long as twenty years ago, in 1989 at Sokolniki exhibition centre.

At present time, just like twenty years ago MASHEX remains the key event in the machine-building and metalworking exhibitions with the largest market players participating.

The exhibition was officially started on May 18 at 12 pm at stage of pavilion 2, IEC “Crocus Expo”. The floor for welcome words was given to the representatives of the Moscow and Russian Governments, some members of the Union of Machine-Builders of Russia and the exhibition management of MASHEX 2009.

Despite the crisis conditions, the key industrial show was popular with the experts. According to the registration statistics, on the opening day May 18 the show was attended by 1, 500 people, 2, 300 visitors arrived the next day, and on the third exhibition day the total number of visitors reached 3, 000.

The exhibiting companies in their turn mentioned extensive interest of the show visitors to the exhibited equipment, successful business negotiations, new partner contacts and concludeв supply contracts and agreements.

In the evening on May 19 pavilion 3 of IEC “Crocus Expo” MVK organized the first business night for the exhibitors MASHEX/MACHINE-BUILDING 2009. The key market players were awarded with honorary diplomas and souvenirs and in a relaxed evening atmosphere the exhibitors could have rest and hold efficient negotiations.

According to the exhibitors, in the present complicated economic situations participation in the exhibition contributes to efficient work and conclusion of contracts. The majority of contracts which will be concluded in the second half of 2009 were initiated at the MASHEX exhibition.

Besides, the companies were able to apply for participation in MACHINE-BUILDING. MASHEX 2010.

A new metro station at the territory of “Crocus Expo” is planned for 2010, this means the MASHEX exhibition held on May 24-27 will be successful.
