French Firm Seeks to Invest 375 mln Euros in Uzbek Projects
OREANDA-NEWS. June 04, 2009. The Veolia Water (France) international company made a proposal to implement an investment project, which stipulates the management and upgrade of the drinking water supply and sewerage systems in the largest cities of Uzbekistan - Tashkent and Samarqand.
The company had agreed to invest 315 million euros to implement the project in the Uzbek capital, and 60 million euros in Samarqand.
Before taking the decision, the Veolia Water experts thoroughly studied the current state of and ways of upgrading the drinking water supply and sewerage systems in Tashkent and Samarqand on the basis of private and state partnership.
