OREANDA-NEWS. June 04, 2009. State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) is ready to expand gas export already in 2009.

SOCAR vice president Elshad Nasirov says that this year it will be exported 8 bn cu m of gas with expected overall production at the level of 27 bn cu m.

“Major export will be designed for Georgia and Turkey,” Nasirov said.

Export will be carried out via South Caucasus Gas Pipeline and Azerbaijan-Georgia gas pipeline.
