OREANDA-NEWS. On 03 June 2009 was announced, that Ingosstrakh IJSC won the all-Russian award in the area of insurance “Golden Salamander” – the Insurance Company of 2008. The award ceremony took place on May 21st in Ritz Carlton in Moscow. 

The Golden Salamander award was established in 2004 and is a public professional award supported by the Federal Insurance Surveillance Service, the Committee for Credit Organizations and Financial Markets of the State Duma of Russia, the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Russia.  The Expert Council assesses the work of insurance companies. It is comprised of the recognized professionals in different areas of insurance activities, as well as of the specialists of the largest insurance companies.  

The winners were chosen from insurance companies of the federal and regional levels, insurance brokers, reinsurance companies, insurance intermediaries, as well as persons and organizations who contributed significantly to the development of the organization. 

To select the winner, the Expert Council discussed such factors as financial stability and reliability of the company, growth dynamics, regional network development, quality of services, meeting customer obligations. 

“Although 2008 was a complicated year for the insurance sector and economy at large, we closed it successfully and fulfilled the plan for all our business lines”, said Alexander Grigoriev, the General Director of Ingosstrakh IJSC. “Prior year base the company became a market leader in the area of personal insurance, property and liability insurance. To us, this award is a sign of trust of our clients and partners, and an indicator of recognition by the professional community”.

Besides, Ingosstrakh won the Golden Salamander award in the nomination Media-Friendly Organization of the Year based on the survey of journalists who specialize in insurance.
