OREANDA-NEWS. On 03 June 2009 was announced, that Ingosstrakh made an insurance compensation of RUR 9.2 mln to Agricultural Production Farming Co-op Stepnye Zori based in the settlement of Novkus-Artesian Settlement in Stavropolie.

The future crops of Jubilee-100 & Stanichnaya brands of fall wheat on the total area of 4200 hectares were insured in March 2008 by the additional office in Budennovsk of Ingosstrakh’s Stavropol Branch. The total insurance amount was ca. RUR 97.3 mln.

The actualized events the crops were insured against were the blight which manifested itself in late spring and the hail in May 2008. The above events damaged the wheat plantings on the whole of the area. It took several expert examinations to determine the size of damages. The results of these examinations acknowledged the losses as subject to compensation, and Ingosstrakh covered the damaged sustained by the Farming Co-op in May 2009.

IJSC Ingosstrakh has cooperated with Stepnye Zori since 2005. The insurer extended coverage to agricultural and transportation vehicles as well as the future crops of fall wheat.
