OREANDA-NEWS  On 03 June was announced, that Federal Antimonopoly Service published information concerning “Mosenergosbyt” OJSC.

On 17th April 2009, the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) initiated two cases against "Mosenergosbyt" OJSC for violating the Law "On Protection of Competition" in organising open tenders. As a result, the interests of the bidders were infringed. Such actions are forbidden under Clause 1 Article 17 of the Law.

The cases were initiated upon a petition of "Saransk Tool-Building Plant" OJSC and will be processed on 5th and 8th June 2009.

According to the information available to FAS Russia, "Mosenergosbyt" OJSC sets unreasonable requirements to the bidders, which restricts participation of some legal entities and individual entrepreneurs in the tenders. Such actions restrict market entry and infringe the interests of certain economic entities, which ultimately leads to restricting competition.
