On 03 June 2009 COMSTAR – United TeleSystems (JSC COMSTAR-UTS, LSE: CMST), the leading supplier of integrated telecommunication solutions in Russia and the CIS, announced that it has obtained new licenses for communication services within the territory of a number of regions of the Central and Southern federal districts.

In particular, COMSTAR-UTS has obtained licenses for communication services to provide communication links within the territory of Lipetsk, Tula, Voronezh and Rostov regions, for telematic communication services within the territory of Rostov and Voronezh regions as well as for local telephone communication services except for local telephone communication services with the use of public telephones and multiple access facilities in Krasnodar area.

All the above licenses are valid from April 17, 2009 to April 17, 2014.
