OREANDA-NEWS. June 02, 2009. The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) exports about half of its production of petroleum products.

Rovnag Abdullayev, the SOCAR president, says that in 2008 SOCAR directed for export 45.2% (7.348 million tons) of petroleum products of own production.

“Azeri oil products are exported to France, Italy, Greece, Romania, Albania, Bulgaira, Malta, Turkey, Ukraine, Iran, Iraq, Kazakhstan, Georiga and other countries,” Abdullayev said.

Last year oil refining at Company’s refineries totaled 80.3% that is by 0.6% more than the forecast or by 14% than the 2007 indicator.
