OREANDA-NEWS. June 02, 2009. Azerbaijan Republic Ministry of Culture and Tourism in association with Ministry of Tourism of Egypt has organised info tour for Egyptian travel companies and mass media representatives.

The Ministry informed that the info tour lasted from May 23 and 31 and was aimed at getting Egyptian representatives familiar with country’s tourist potential as well as further achievement of strong cooperation and mutual tourist exchange.

“Egyptian delegation also included representatives of Egypt’s Ministry of Tourism. Apart from Baku the delegation visited Gabala, Sheki, Gakh and Guba.” it was informed.

Within the tour Egyptian delegation met Ministry’s Tourist Department Chief and local travel agencies.

In May 2007, Azerbaijan and Egypt signed agreement on cooperation in the field of tourism.
