OREANDA-NEWS. On 01 June 2009 was announced, that a ?39.7 bln loan agreement between BANK URALSIB and Credit Suisse is named The Deal of the Year by Trade Finance Magazine (Euromoney plc). URALSIB Leasing company and BANK URALSIB acted as co-arrangers.

The 5-year loan covered by Finnvera ECA (Finland) was used to finance lifting equipment (Konecranes, Finland) for the Russian stevedore JSC "Sea Port of Saint-Petersburg".

The deal went through a tough competition: after considering numerous applications selected were only 56 deals.

The deal effected at the height of the crisis was exceptional given its impressive size and tight schedule, what demanded top expertise and smooth cooperation between the parties, Trade Finance experts believe.

The awards ceremony will be hosted in London on June 25, 2009.
