OREANDA-NEWS. On 01 June 2009 was announced, that a round-table was held in "Grand Mir" hotel on discussion of "Medical insurance" Law, arranged by Ministry of Finance of Uzbekistan in cooperation with project of UN Program "Public finance reforms in Uzbekistan".

Activity was held with the purpose of wide discussion of project of "Medical Insurance" Law, elaborated in cooperation with project of UN Program "Public finance reforms in Uzbekistan".

In the work of round-table representatives of Senate, Oliy Majlis, Cabinet of Ministers, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Labor and Social security, insurance companies, private companies and international organizations.

As noted on the meeting, the aim of the bill is to create a legislation for medical insurance, form guaranteed and favorable conditions for getting qualitative medical service and lay the foundation of legislation, finance and organization of medical insurance.

During round-table process questions of stats and perspectives of medical service development, conceptual approaches of health sphere financing in the conditions of medical service.

Special attention was paid to measures of increasing economic interest of medical institutions in improving conditions and procedure of rendering medical service.

Materials and recommendations, prepared on base of discussions results, represent valuable material, which may be used when improving project of "Medical insurance" Law.
