OREANDA-NEWS. May 29, 2009. Sviaz-Bank’s Buriatian branch turned 15. Five days earlier, its balance sheet had a value of 138.5 million rubles, a loan portfolio of 98.4 million rubles, and 88.1 million rubles in the balances of accounts held by its customers among legal entities, reported the press-centre of Sviaz-Bank.

The Bank’s Buriatian branch provides banking services to the biggest enterprises in Ulan-Ude, the republic’s central city, and outlying districts, including the local branch of the national postal service, the Post of Russia FSUE, the Buriatian branch of Sibirtelecom, and Sviaz-Service JSC, among others. Major network customers are wired to the system operated by the Customer Payment Center (CPC), which allows them to manage online the accounts of their structural divisions and optimize their cash flows.

The Buriatian branch’s customers have easy access to services such as cash transactions, deposits in ruble and foreign exchange accounts, payment for utility services and other payments, express transfers of funds to any point around the world through, among other systems, Sviaz-Bank’s own BLIZKO money transfer system, transfers from customers’ accounts and transfers by walk-in customers in rubles and foreign currencies, currency exchange transactions, Internet banking through the Megapay system, and much else.

The branch gives the republic’s pensioners an opportunity to transfer their pensions to Pensionny Plyus (Pension Plus) accounts offering such advantages as quarterly interest capitalization and withdrawal of funds at the pensioners’ convenience. Beginning in May 2009, the republic’s residents will receive, if they want, social benefits from the republic’s Ministry of Social Security (subsidies, allowances, compensations, cash aid, and so on) through Sviaz-Bank’s Buriatian branch as well.

Ulan-Ude now has six automated teller machines from Sviaz-Bank in operation. Eighteen of the city’s post offices and another 16 post offices in the republic’s districts are equipped with Sviaz-Bank’s terminals dispensing cash to holders of VISA International, MasterCard International, and Union Card plastic cards.

The Buriatian branch moved to a new office at 26 Fifty Years of the October Revolution Avenue in Ulan-Ude on March 23, 2009, from where it provides banking services to its customers as usual.
