FAS Initiated Case against FTS Russia
OREANDA-NEWS. May 29, 2009. The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) initiated a case against the Federal Customs Service (FTS Russia) for violating Clause 3 Part 1 Article 15 of the Federal Law "On Protection of Competition" (prohibiting competition-restrictive acts of the federal executive bodies), reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.
The case was initiated upon a petition of the Association of Secondary Ferrous Metals Procurement and Processing Companies.
The Antimonopoly Service suspects that FTS Russia violated the Federal Law "On Protection of Competition" by adopting acts that lead to restricting competition on the market of export of ferrous metals and limiting the rights of economic entities for selling, buying, otherwise acquiring or exchanging goods in the Russian Federation.
The case will be heard on 10th June 2009.
