Baring Vostok Capital Partners Receives Global Private Equity Awards

A shareholder of Kaspi Bank, investment fund Baring Vostok Capital Partners, according to annual inquiry of readers of Private Equity International was again acknowledged as the best direct investment company and awarded with Global Private Equity Awards 2008. The company won the award for the fourth time in four years.
The largest Kazakhstan investment of Baring Vostok Capital Partners is acquisition of control shareholding of kaspi bank two years ago.
Global Private Equity Awards were established by international magazine Private Equity International and are handed annually for achievements in direct investment. Baring Vostok Capital Partners have been working over 15 years in CIS, being a largest direct investor in CIS countries. Baring Vostok comprises 20 companies - with the total income of USD1.7 bn. a year, net profit about USD300 m. and providing 10,000 jobs.
