OREANDA-NEWS. May 27, 2009. Vitaly Savelyev, CEO of Aeroflot Russian Airlines JSC had meetings with the International Air Transport Association (IATA) at its Geneva headquarters, reported the press-centre of Aeroflot.

During the talks with Giovanni Bisignani, IATA’s Director General and its other managers, Vitaly Savelyev discussed a wide range of issues of Aeroflot and IATA’s cooperation. Aeroflot CEO has confirmed the company’s commitment, as one of the biggest members, to close cooperation with the International Association in the area of flight safety management improvement, new technology implementation, and personnel training.

The meetings paid a special attention to anti-crisis measures aimed at cost reduction in the industry, as well as financial strategies, and IATA’s projects in Russia. 

On June 7–9 2009 Vitaly Savelyev participates in IATA’s 65th annual General Assembly in Kuala Lumpur, Malaisia. Malaisian capital will also host the meeting of IATA’s Board of Governors.
 
Aeroflot has been IATA’s member since 1989.
