On 28 May 2009 was announced, that at office "Gazprom" the chairman of board of the company Alexey Miller and the chief executive of concern "ТотаEь" Kristof de Marzheri have positively estimated work of the company of a special purpose "Shtokman Development AG". Thus both parties have expressed concern in a situation in the market.

The common opinion has been stated, that the current prices for oil do not reflect its fair cost and are the deterrent for development of new projects.

"Gazprom" and "Total" are responsible for development Shtokmanovsky gazokondensatnogo deposits (Barents sea) and supervise accordingly 51 % and 25 % of the joint venture "Shtokman Development AG". The third partner - Norwegian "Statojl-Gidro" from 24 %.

The busy schedule gives more and more troubles of the joint venture. "Gazprom" more than once declared, that extraction on a deposit will begin in 2013, and the SPG-FACTORY will earn in 2014. As informed BarentsObserver, the same time frameworks were mentioned by prime minister Vladimir Putin at a meeting passing on this week with it novrezhskim colleague Jensom Stoltenbergom.
