OREANDA-NEWS. On 28 May 2009 was announced, that Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov stressed the need to expedite the process of drafting the project of an airport complex in Ashgabat during a meeting with director of German consulting company EWC Rudi Lamprecht.

Drafting will be carried out by EWC and Hoshtief companies jointly with specialists of the Turkmenhovayollary (Turkmenistan Airlines) State National Service.

Rudi Lamprecht, who until recently headed well-known German company Siemens AG, and now is EWC director, assured the head of state that "the enormous economic and resource potential of Turkmenistan, as well as experience and modern technology possessed by the German partners will provide a reliable basis for mutually advantageous Turkmen-German cooperation."
