Al-Baghdadi Ali al-Mahmudi positively evaluated the negotiations between the two governmental delegations underway on May 25-26 in Tripoli and thanked “to our friend, the Prime Minister of Ukraine” for the work. According to him, despite the fact that the visit hasn’t lasted long, Ukraine and Lybia have managed to reach understandings in various spheres. In particular, it concerns building of an oil refinery and a network of petrol stations in Ukraine.

The Secretary of General People's Committee of Lybia also views as positive the propositions achieved in the process of considering the 100 thousand ha project which envisages allocation of a land plot for growing grain for the needs of Lybia and African countries. The project has shown not a scrap of progress for 5 years and during the official visit of the Prime Minister of Ukraine has moved at once.

Al-Baghdadi Ali al-Mahmudi emphasized for realization of this project Ukraine has been chosen as it has obtained the world fame as a leader in the area of growing of grain crops, possesses necessary water resources and high-qualified specialists.

The Secretary of General People's Committee of Lybia stated the negotiations have become the next step on the way of abolishing of a visa regime between Ukraine and Lybia: “We will be readying to transition to a visa-free regime”.
