OREANDA-NEWS. May 26, 2009. ROSNO’s North-Western Directorate has paid the owner of the stolen vehicle Mitsubishi Outlander an insurance compensation of 975,998 roubles under the MOD insurance contract, reported the press-centre of ROSNO.

This vehicle, manufactured in 2008, was stolen by an unidentified malefactor in Moskovsky district of St. Petersburg. Criminal investigation of this case is under way, and the search procedures have been initiated.

This was the second consecutive year when the stolen vehicle’s owner insured it in ROSNO.

It is worth noting that, according to the car theft statistics for the year 2008 compiled by ROSNO’s North-Western Directorate, Mitsubishi Outlander ranks among the top 3 most frequently stolen cars in St. Petersburg.
