OREANDA-NEWS. May 26, 2009. The jury of the Golden Salamander Premium has awarded victory to OJSC IC ROSNO in two nominations. The company has been named "Media Friendly Organization 2008" and awarded for the "Insurance Innovation of the Year" in the category "New Insurance Product — 2008", reported the press-centre of ROSNO.

The title of the "Media Friendly Organization of the Year" has been awarded to ROSNO for the fifth time. This nomination fully reflects the values of ROSNO Group, which are based on customer focus. For many years, ROSNO has been demonstrating its financial stability and transparency. ROSNO is the only Russian insurance company to publish full financials under the International Financial Reporting Standards. ROSNO is a media friendly company, one of the recognized leaders of the information field, whose openness and transparency is acknowledged by the leading Russian business media.

The premium in the nomination "Insurance Innovation of the Year" (category "New Insurance Product — 2008") has been awarded to ROSNO for the product "International Medical Insurance" launched in late 2008. This product faces no competition in the Russian market. It enables the insured beneficiary to get medical aid under the most extensive list of diseases traditionally excluded from insurance coverage, including the most sophisticated operations in any country of the world. The list of insured types of medical aid comprises outpatient treatment; hospital treatment; pregnancy management and obstetrics; medical rehabilitation; hemodialysis; medical aid in case of HIV or in connection with diseases resulting from HIV; and organ transplantation.

Golden Salamander is an annual competition, whereby representatives of the professional community, including the insurers themselves, determine the best of the best. The project is organized by the company "Finansovy Mir". The Jury of the Golden Salamander comprises representatives of insurance and reinsurance companies, professional associations of insurers, Russian economists, and mass media.

Golden Salamander is a public award supported by the Federal Insurance Supervision Department, the RF Duma Credit Institutions and Financial Markets Committee, the RF Ministry of Finance, and the RF Ministry of Economic Development and Trade.
