Latvian Ports Cut Handling of Metal Goods by 6.7% in Jan-Apr 09
OREANDA-NEWS. May 26, 2009. In January-April 2009, turnover of metal in Latvian ports totaled 174,500 tonnes (-6.7%, year-on-year), with Liepaja accounting for almost all turnover.
In the reported period, the port of Liepaja handled 171,100 tonnes of metal (-2.5%, year-on-year).
The port of Ventspils handled 2,900 tonnes of metal goods, port of Riga - 0,500 tonnes.
In 2008, Latvian ports handled 533,800 tonnes of metal (-29.2%, year-on-year).
