OREANDA-NEWS. May 25, 2009. The Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko will initiate creating of the Council of heads of villages and rural-type settlements within the Government. With such a proposition she addressed participants of an all-Ukrainian meeting, dedicated to the development of rural-type settlements.

Yulia Tymoshenko emphasized creating of such Council would give chance to raise problem issues of rural councils on the level of the Government with an aim to elaborate and approve vital normative acts entertaining interests of village and rural societies but not functionaries.

Moreover, Yulia Tymoshenko informed such Council would act on a temporary basis for now, until congress of village and rural-type settlement heads assembled where its composition and leadership is to be determined. The temporary head of the Council is appointed Lypynsky village head of Volyn region Bohdan Husak, who has been working on the post for 25 years.
