Cost of Gasoline Has Risen by 9% in Moldova
OREANDA-NEWS. May 25, 2009. Oil prices at the world markets have increased by more than 3%, surpassing US62 per barrel.
According to the experts, the reason for the growth in quotations of oil prices has become a regular report of the U.S. Energy Department Supporting of the "black gold" quotes has also been supported by the falling dollar exchange rate.
In the result of trades on Wednesday, May 20, at the New York Mercantile Exchange the price of the futures contract for WTI oil brands has grown by US 1.94- up to US 62.04 per barrel. At the Inter-Continental Exchange in London, the July contract for Brent Crude oil has grown by US 1.67, to about of 60.59 per barrel.
As it was informed before, in March 2009, the barrel of the oil cost amounted to \\$ 43, and by April, 2009, grew by US 50.
In Moldova, due to the rising prices for oil and oil products at the world markets the cost of the gasoline has risen by 9% (from 8.77 lei up to 9.57 lesi per liter).
