OREANDA-NEWS. On 25 May 2009 was announced, that XVIII International agro-industrial exhibition and fair “Agrosus -2009” will be held at “Lenexpo” fairgrounds on August 21-30, 2009.

This exhibition has become an important event for the citizens and guests of St. Petersburg; that is why it always require a thorough preparation.

There was a meeting of “Agrorus” group responsible for the event organization and conducting. It was held in Smolny under the co-chairmanship of L.A. Kostkina, St. Petersburg Vice-governor, and S.V. Yakhnuk, Vice-governor of the Leningrad Region.

T.A. Surkova, “Lenexpo” deputy director, and N.S. Golubeva, “Agrorus” exhibition director, reported about the event conception and current work being done on exhibition and business programs. M.V. Moskalev, the first pro-rector of St. Petersburg State Agrarian University, was talking about the preparations for the international congress “Sustainable development of the rural territories based on the agricultural innovative enterprises activation.” St. Petersburg department of gardening has been pointed the curator for the XVIII International agro-industrial exhibition and fair “Agrosus -2009”.

International agro-industrial exhibition and fair “Agrosus -2009” will include special expositions: “agricultural machines, processing machines and equipment for agriculture”, “from field to stalls”, “fish and sea products”, “Salon of autonomous energy systems”, “cottage constructions”, “Chemistry and bio technologies in agriculture”, “Agro-ecology”, “ everything for garden and vegetable garden”.
