OREANDA-NEWS. May 21, 2009. Communication enterprises of Kazakhstan provided services to 138 milliards 575,4 tenge (current 149,82/US1) in January-April 2009 that 4,5% more than similar period of last year, reported the press-centre of Kazakhtelecom.

Including services for 58 milliards 139,4 tenge to population for mentioned period that 1,8% less than in January-April 2008.

The major volume of telecommunication services and communication services in Kazakhstan today are provided by Kazakhtelecom JSC and state company Kazpost accordingly.

Five mobile communication operators function in the republic, including three operators provide services in GSM standard. Population of Kazakhstan exceeds 15,8 millions.
