OREANDA-NEWS. On May 20, 2009 AB Mazeikiu Nafta and the Lithuanian Basketball Federation (LBF) have signed a cooperation agreement under which the Oil Refining Company has become the general sponsor of the Federation, reported the press-centre of Mazeikiu Nafta. 

The LBF will use the sponsors’ money for the needs of men, women, and youth’s national teams.
AB Mazeikiu Nafta has sponsored basketball for many years.

The Company’s sponsorship to basketball, during the last four years, amounts 13 million litas. The LBF, Lithuanian Basketball League, basketball clubs Kaunas Zalgiris, Vilnius Lietuvos Rytas, Vilnius TEO, and Mazeikiai town club Mazeikiai are among the major receivers. The Company also supports Mazeikiai Sports School.
