OREANDA-NEWS. May 20, 2009. Atomenergoproekt OJSC has completed the concreting of the foundation plate of the auxiliary reactor building of the 2nd unit of Novovoronezh Nuclear Power Plant-2 with over 6,000 cubic meters of concrete laid. Now the company is beginning to construct the walls of the building.

The company is also finishing the work to lay the foundation mats of the reactor and turbine buildings of the 2nd unit.

At the 1st unit Atomenergoproekt is reinforcing the walls of the main and auxiliary reactor buildings and the reserve diesel power plants and building the frame of the turbine building.

In Jan-Mar 2009 the company and its contractors carried out construction and installation work worth over 1bln RUR.

Presently, they are working at 38 main and 81 temporary facilities.

Some 1,400 people are involved in the project for the moment.
