OREANDA-NEWS. May 20, 2009. VNIIA (All-Russia Research Institute of Automatics) was established on May 5 1954 and is one of the leading research companies of Rosatom State Nuclear Energy Corporation. The scientific and industrial capacities of the institute are actively employed in serial manufacturing of competitive products in the interests of the civil sectors of the economy with the use of the technological achievements of the defense industry.

VNIIA designs and manufactures science-intensive products for nuclear and thermal power plants, nuclear geo-physics and medicine and successfully cooperates in those fields with other national and foreign companies.

Putin is going to visit an exhibition of VNIIA’s civil purpose products and the production of automated process control systems supplied to nuclear power plants in Russia and abroad and successfully operated at 36 reactors in 9 countries.
