OREANDA-NEWS. May 20, 2009. Russian company Spirit Telecom presented their new product, GLONASS-GPS receiver, capable of acquiring navigation signals indoors, at NAVITECH exhibition last week.

Ordinary receivers need direct visibility of the satellites to operate properly. The SPIRIT device can receive weak reflected signals indoors.

The receiver includes an antenna to be connected to a laptop, and dedicated SW. "With this receiver, we are not chasing the foreing companies, but turn into a world leader in navigation. Commercial market gets advanced product and SW solution which are better then any other product/solution in the world", V.Sviridenko, Spirit Telecom Vice-President, Technology, states.
